Scope: This part of MT 818 specifies the product classification and nomenclature, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for mobile metal shielded monitoring rubber-sheathed flexible cables (hereinafter referred to as cables) for coal mines with rated voltages of 8.7/10kV and below. This section applies to copper core rubber sheathed metal shielded monitoring flexible cables for coal mine mobile equipment with rated voltages of 3.6/6kV, 6/10kV and 8.7/10kV.
