- This part of MT 818 specifies the product classification and naming, technical requirements, test methods and inspection rules for metal-shielded flexible cables (hereinafter referred to as cables) for coal mining machines with rated voltages of 0.66/1.14kV and 1.9/3.3kV for coal mines. This section applies to copper core rubber sheathed metal shielded flexible cables with rated voltages of 0.66/1.14kV and 1.9/3.3kV for coal shearers and similar equipment.
