The purposed of this document is to establish an industry standard for minimum rating and testing of actuators used on fire/smoke dampers. The testing requirements will cover torque or force rating, long term holding, operational life, elevated temperature performance, periodic maintenance, production, and sound testing for both pneumatic and electric operators.
