- This standard specifies requirements for the layout of supply and discharge piping connections used in dental equipment, dental treatment machines, instruments and devices, including requirements for the construction of piping and interconnections between piping. This standard also specifies the relative location, centering, and minimum dimensions applicable to water, wastewater, and suction (vacuum) supply lines, and the size of designated adjacent areas for electrical circuits and compressed air lines used in dental service facilities. The requirements of this standard apply to all types of dental treatment machines and dental treatment centers.
