Scope: This standard specifies the routine detection and counting methods of aerobic mesophilic bacteria in cosmetics, which can count the number of colonies on the agar medium after aerobic culture, or check whether there is bacterial growth after enrichment. This standard may not be applicable to the inspection of samples such as some insoluble products and cleaning products, which can be replaced by other test methods that have been proven to have the same effect. When necessary, the confirmation methods listed in the references of this standard can be used to confirm the microorganisms detected and counted.
