Scope

This method is suitable for determining the content of mechanical impurities in lubricating grease that are insoluble in hydrochloric acid, petroleum ether (solvent gasoline or benzene), ethanol-benzene mixture and distilled water. Also suitable for determining the content of fillers specially added to lubricating greases which are insoluble in the above reagents.
