This standard specifies the sampling and testing of stainless steel plate, strip, bars and forgings intended for general purposes. The standard applies to austenitic plate up to a thickness of s = 50 mm, to bars and forgings up to a section thickness of s = 100 mm and to ferritic steel X2CrMoTi 18 2 SFS 815 up to a section thickness of s = 10 mm.
