This part of GB/T 8812 specifies the experimental method for determining the load of rigid foam plastic specimens under specified deformation under the action of three-point bending. This section is used for materials with a thickness of not less than 20mm. Easily crushable foam is not used in this section. This method uses small specimens and does not produce pure bending deformation, so it cannot be used to calculate bending strength or express bending elastic modulus. Only when the physical properties and dimensions of the materials are similar can the measured values be compared with each other.
