- This standard specifies the principle, equipment, samples, test procedures and calculation of results for the determination of tensile strength of carbon materials. This standard applies to the determination of the tensile strength of carbon materials at room temperature. The diameter of the sample test area (the area of the parallel section in the middle of the sample) should not be less than three times the largest visible aggregate particle size in the tested material.
