Scope: This standard specifies the principles and procedures of Type III environmental declaration plan and Type III environmental declaration, especially the use of GB/T 24040 series standards to develop Type III environmental declaration plan and Type III environmental declaration. In addition to the principles given in GB/T 24020, this standard also specifies the principles for the use of environmental information. This standard applies to communication between suppliers and buyers, but under certain conditions it can also be used for communication between suppliers and consumers. This standard does not override or in any way alter legally required environmental information, declarations or labels, or any other applicable legal requirements. This standard does not contain industry-specific provisions, which will be specified in other ISO documents. Industry regulations related to Type III environmental declarations in other ISO documents are intended to be based on and use the principles and procedures of this standard.
