Scope: This standard specifies two methods (method 1 and method 2) for evaluating the resistance of plastic or vulcanized rubber-coated fabrics to liquids by measuring the selected properties of the material before and after immersion in a selected test liquid. The difference between these two methods is as follows: Method 1, after soaking, use a wipe to remove the remaining liquid on the specimen. Method 2, the sample is immersed in a volatile liquid, and then the remaining liquid is removed by oven drying.
