Scope: This part of GB/T 5019 specifies the classification, performance requirements, test methods, inspection rules, marking, packaging, transportation and storage of glass cloth and film-reinforced epoxy resin-bonded mica tapes for vacuum pressure impregnation (VPI). This part applies to mica paper as base material, epoxy adhesive paint as adhesive, one or both sides with alkali-free glass cloth or film for electrical purposes as reinforcing material, which is flexible under normal conditions and suitable for use with it. The adhesive mica tape is cured after the impregnating resin of the container is treated by the vacuum pressure impregnation insulation process. The final cured properties of the material depend primarily on the vacuum pressure impregnation resin used.
