This specification covers material, dimensional, and constructional requirements for bassinets mounted on mobile stands and intended for use in hospitals and other medical institutions.
NOTE: The attention of users of this specification is drawn to the following requirements that must be specified in tender invitations and in the order or contract:
a) The type and, in the case of Type B, the material of the bassinet (see 3.1 and 4.4.2)
b) Whether a mild steel or a stainless steel stand is required (see 3.1)
c) In the cases of mild steel bassinets and stands, the type and colour of the finish (see 4. 5)
d) When relevant, whether a medium directional satin or bright polished finish is required on stainless steel (see 4. 5)
