This specification covers the material, dimensional, and constructional requirements for adjustable recovery beds fitted with carriers for X-ray cassettes and intended for use in medical institutions.
NOTE: The following requirements must be specified in tender invitations and in the order or contract:
a) Whether a stainless steel or mild steel bed is required (see 3.4.1)
b) When relevant, that drip rod support rails are required (see 3.4.3)
c) When relevant, a material other than plywood for mattress seats (see 3.4.5)
d) When relevant, that a plastics veneer is required on the upper (working) surface (see 3.4.5)
e) When relevant, that the side frames are to be of the short type (see 3.4.6)
f) When relevant, that swivel-lock or swivel and wheel-lock are required at the head-end (see 3.4. 8)
g) The colour of the enamel or powder coating finish (see 3.5)
