This code of practice covers the identification, by means of ten colours (taken three at a time), of wrought steels commonly used in South Africa. NOTE a) The application of a colour marking to a steel in accordance with this code of practice is not to be construed as a claim of compliance with the relevant specification/designation. b) The standards and publications referred to in the code are listed in Appendix A. c) Additional identification markings that may be required are given in Appendix B. d) The colours to be used in this code are shown in Appendix C. e) An index to the specifications/designations used in this code is given in Appendix D.
