Scope

This part of SANS 10177 covers the method of test used to determine the surface burning characteristics of materials when exposed to a test fire under controlled conditions. 2 It is applicable as a material classification method for all types of combustible or non- combustible materials envisaged for surface applications, such as under-roof and side-cladding insulation materials in buildings.
