Scope

This standard specifies the requirements for electroplating of engineered nickel and nickel alloys on ferrous and non-ferrous metals. This standard does not apply to binary nickel alloy electroplating layers where nickel is a small component. The marking provides a means of indicating the type and thickness of electroplated coatings on engineered nickel and nickel alloys.
