Scope

This standard specifies two spray tests for the determination of the retention of boron in timber treated with a preservative that contains boron (or boric acid). This method will only indicate whether the net retention of the timber is above or below the specified net requirement (see 7.3). The analytical method (SABS method 1238) should be used for specific net retention determination.
