Scope
This standard specifies the composition, purpose and application, general principles of formulation and application of food microbiological indicators, microbiological elements, sampling plans, methods, sample processing and reporting in microbiological indicators. This standard applies to the formulation and application of food microbiological indicators in all links of the food chain from primary production to consumption.
