Scope: This standard specifies the structure, allocation and use principles, related metadata and management and maintenance of Chinese standard text coding. This standard applies to all abstract intellectual or artistic creations that consist of combinations of words. This standard does not apply to any physical product of a textual work, including various printed publications or electronic formats based on the content of the work. Such as printed articles, e-books, etc. The content expression and manifestation of a textual work should belong to different coding identification systems. The relationship between the Chinese standard text encoding and other standard encoding identification systems will be detailed in Appendix E. The registration of the Chinese standard text code is not identical to the copyright registration, and naturally it does not become the legal evidence of the intellectual property rights of the text works.
