Scope

This specification is applicable to the calibration of unipolar and bipolar medical high-frequency electrosurgical devices that are newly manufactured, in use and after repair, and whose operating frequency range is 0.3MHz~5.OMHz. This specification does not apply to the calibration of medical high-frequency electrosurgical devices with a maximum output power of less than 50W in unipolar operating mode, nor to the calibration of specialized high-frequency electrosurgical devices operating in bipolar operating mode for dentistry, gynecology, and dermatology.
