Scope
This standard specifies the safety technical requirements for drying rooms (furnaces) that release flammable substances during drying operations (hereinafter referred to as drying rooms). This standard applies to independent drying rooms or other drying equipment that use solvents on the surface of materials or workpieces for pretreatment, printing, spraying, dipping and other processes before drying or curing. Including safety technical requirements for the design, manufacture, installation and use of drying rooms. This standard does not apply to:
——portable heaters used for drying;
——drying ovens for pharmaceuticals and food. Drying rooms or other drying equipment that do not release a concentration of flammable substances exceeding the lower explosive limit of 3% under any circumstances do not need to comply with this standard.
