Scope
This standard specifies the classification and nomenclature of bonded light vehicle brake shoe assemblies (hereinafter referred to as brakes), requirements, test methods, inspection rules, signs, instructions for use and packaging, transportation and storage. This standard applies to bonded light vehicle brake shoe assemblies in which the friction lining of the brake shoe and the steel tendons of the brake shoe are bonded and fastened together, and are used for a total mass not exceeding 3.5 Brake shoes of light cars, mini cars or cars.
