IEC TS 60034-25:2004 Rotating electrical machines - Part 25: Guide for the design and performance of cage induction motors specifically designed for converter supply
This standard describes the performance characteristics and design features of multi-phase cage induction motors specially used for power supply of voltage source type inverters of 1 000 V and below. This standard also specifies the interface parameters and interactions between electric motors and frequency converters as part of an electrical drive system, including installation guidelines. Note 1: If the motor operates in a potentially explosive gas environment, it should comply with the additional requirements given by the GB 3836 series. Note 2: Safety is not the main content of this standard, but some of the suggestions it gives involve safety issues that must be considered. Note 3: If the inverter manufacturer gives specific installation recommendations, its recommendations should be given priority and then refer to this standard.
