Scope: This standard specifies the special safety rules for storage equipment for bulk materials such as hoppers, silos, bins and gates, and is a supplement to the general safety rules specified in ISO 1819. The safety rules specified in this standard apply regardless of the original use of the equipment. This safety rule limits the supplier's responsibility for the continuous handling machinery itself, excluding the structure of the accessory parts, unless these structures are built into the storage facility.
