- Scope
- This standard specifies the basic technical requirements for the breeding test procedures for safety evaluation of aquatic feed. This standard recommends the use of zebrafish (Brachydanio rerio), and does not exclude other fish species [such as medaka (Oryzias latipes) and swordtail fish (Xiphophorus helleri)], but the test conditions should be changed accordingly. This standard applies to the safety evaluation of compound feeds, single feeds and feed additives used for aquatic animals, excluding feed drug additives.
