Scope
This standard specifies the method for determining the water absorption resistance of fabrics by the inversion absorption method. This standard is applicable to all fabrics with or without water-repellent finishing or water-repellent finishing, and is especially suitable for determining the effect of fabrics after finishing, because the fabrics are subjected to dynamic conditions similar to actual use in this method. This method is used to determine the water absorption resistance of fabrics, and can also be used to predict the possible weight gain of clothing in actual use. This method is most suitable for clothing fabrics that are used for a long time in a humid environment. This method cannot be used to predict the rainwater penetration resistance of fabrics because the method measures the amount of water absorbed by the fabric rather than the amount of water penetrated.
