Scope: This standard specifies the requirements, test methods, inspection rules, labeling, packaging, transportation and storage of slow-release fertilizers. This standard applies to slow-release fertilizers that are processed by specific processes from all or part of the granules of nitrogen fertilizers, potash fertilizers, compound fertilizers, and blended fertilizers (BB fertilizers). This standard does not apply to inorganic-coated fertilizers such as sulfur-coated urea (SCU for short), urea-formaldehyde slow-release fertilizers, or stable fertilizers that use nitrification inhibitors and urease inhibitors to delay the transformation of nutrient forms. There are already national or industry standards for slow-release fertilizers, such as sulfur-coated urea, which implement corresponding product standards.
