Scope: This standard stipulates the sampling method for directly measuring coal seam gas content underground, the method for measuring the amount of desorbed gas, the method for compensating the amount of lost gas, the method for measuring the amount of residual gas and the calculation method for the gas content of coal seam. This standard applies to the direct determination of coal seam gas content by desorption method in underground coal mines. This standard is not applicable to the determination of the gas content of drilling holes with severe water leakage, gas emission drilling and rock cores.
