- This standard specifies the principles for determining the interrelationship between dimensional (linear and angular) tolerances and geometrical tolerances. This standard applies to dimensions, dimensional tolerances and geometric tolerances marked in technical drawings and related documents to determine the size, shape, orientation and position characteristics of part elements.
