This standard specifies the method for the determination of carbendazim, thiabendazole, thiophanate-methyl and 2-aminobenzimidazole residues in vegetables and fruits by reversed-phase ion pair high-performance liquid chromatography. This standard is applicable to the determination of four benzimidazole pesticide residues in vegetables and fruits, including carbendazim, sialocarbazim, thiophanate-methyl and 2-aminobenzimidazole. The detection limits of this standard method are: carbendazim is 0.07mg/kg, thiophanate-methyl is 0.09mg/kg, thiabendazole is 0.05mg/kg, and 2-aminobenzimidazole is 0.10 mg/kg.
