Scope

This clause of GB 17466.1 is replaced by: This part of GB 17466 is applicable to empty housings and other electrical accessories of household and similar fixed electrical installations for intended use with a rated voltage not exceeding 400V and a total output load current not exceeding 125A. For components, the maximum power dissipation capacity in normal use is declared by the manufacturer. These enclosures are intended for use in domestic protective devices and devices with or without mains power consumption. They are intended to be installed where the prospective short-circuit current does not exceed 10kA, unless they are protected by a limited current protective device with a breaking current not exceeding 17kA. After installation, enclosures complying with this standard are suitable for use in an ambient temperature of up to 40°C and minimum of -5°C within 24 h, usually not exceeding 35°C, occasionally reaching 40°C. In the enclosure, which becomes an integral part of an electrical accessory and can provide protection for the accessory from external influences (such as mechanical shock, entry of solid foreign objects or harmful water ingress, etc.), it shall meet the requirements of the relevant standards of the accessory .
