Scope: This standard specifies the basic test requirements, test Equipment and configuration, test methods and procedures, test result evaluation and test report compilation also stipulate the preferred test levels related to different environments and installation conditions. This standard is applicable to the surge (shock) immunity test of electrical and electronic equipment and systems of industrial machinery with rated voltage not exceeding AC1000V, DC1500V and rated frequency not exceeding 200Hz or components of electrical equipment and systems. Immunity tests can be applied to equipment: --- research and development tests; --- type tests; --- acceptance tests; --- production tests.
