Scope

This Japanese Industrial Standard specifies methods of test for sand equivalent value of fine aggregates for concrete mainly to be applied to production control of concrete. Note 1 The sand equivalent value is strongly correlated with the content of materials finer than 75 m sieve containing ultra-fine particle such as clay and is the index of ratio of the volume of part excluding fine substance to the total volume of fine aggregates.2541
