- 1.1 General requirements The test methods specified in each part of GB/T 5023 are listed in this part and the following standards: GB/T 2951.11-2008 General test methods for insulation and sheath materials of electric and optical cables Part 11: General test method - Thickness and overall dimension measurement - Mechanical performance test (IEC 60811-1-1:2001, IDT) GB/T 5023.1-2008 Polyvinyl chloride insulated cables with rated voltage 450/750 V and below No. 1 Part: General requirements (IEC 60227-1:2007, IDT) GB/T 18380.12-2008 Burning test of electric and optical cables under flame conditions Part 12: Vertical flame spread test of single insulated wire and cable (IEC 60332-1 —2: 2004, IDT) 1.2 Applicable tests The applicable tests for various types of cables are specified by product standards (GB/T 5023.3, GB/T 5023.4, etc.). 1.3 Tests are classified according to frequency according to the definition in 2.2 of GB/T 5023.1-2008. The test regulations include type test (symbol T) and/or sampling test (symbol S). The symbols T and S are used in relevant tables of product standards (GB/T 5023.3, GB/T 5023.4, etc.).
