This standard gives methods for the measurement, evaluation and calculation of ultraviolet radiation from lamps used for skin treatment in homes and similar settings, primarily for health care purposes. This standard applies to discharge lamps, namely ultraviolet fluorescent lamps and high-intensity discharge lamps. The above recommendations relate only to type testing. Note: According to this standard, the technical requirements for UV radiation of lamps do not mean that the lamps can be directly replaced in a specific skin therapy device based on these requirements.
