Scope
This section specifies the method of filling a protective gas with a pressure higher than the external atmospheric pressure in a room or building containing electrical equipment that may become a source of ignition and in which explosive gases or vapors may occur, in order to prevent such gases or Measures for vapor intrusion into the interior of the room. This section specifies the structure, equipment and operating rules of a room or building and its related parts, such as inlet and outlet pipes for protective gases, some auxiliary control devices required to generate and maintain overpressure, etc. This section also specifies the test methods required to demonstrate compliance with this section and the markings to be placed on rooms or buildings. This section only applies to rooms or buildings from which flammable gases or vapors cannot be released (actually or potentially).
