Scope: This standard specifies the electromagnetic compatibility immunity requirements for machine tools that are used in industrial environments or similar purposes and whose rated voltage between lines does not exceed 1000Va.c or 1500Vd.c. This immunity standard can also be used to evaluate machine tools used in other environments (residential, light industrial environments, etc.) that require lower levels of immunity than industrial environments. This standard does not apply to machine tools installed in a special electromagnetic environment, for example: there is a strong electromagnetic field (such as near a broadcasting transmitter), or a machine tool in an environment with a strong pulse of the power grid (such as a power station). The equipment and systems used in these occasions need to take corresponding measures to reduce the electromagnetic impact. This standard involves the frequency range of electromagnetic immunity from 0Hz to 400GHz. Other frequencies are not considered in the standard.
