- This standard specifies the measurement methods for the sound power level and ear noise of portable wind-powered fire extinguishers powered by internal combustion engines (hereinafter referred to as fire extinguishers). This standard is applicable to the type test of portable wind fire extinguisher products, and the test results can be used to compare the characteristics of different models of the same type. This standard is also applicable to the noise determination of portable wind sprinkler. Although the results measured by the measurement methods specified in this standard are the data obtained by simulating the actual operation of the machine, these data are very close to the real results and represent the characteristics of the machine in actual working conditions.
