This standard specifies: Test methods for measuring the performance of continuous wave ultrasonic Doppler flow meters, flow meters or fetal heart rate detectors; Special Doppler test pieces for measuring various performance parameters of Doppler ultrasound systems. This standard is applicable to: Testing of the entire Doppler ultrasound system, that is, testing of the system without disassembly or disconnection; Testing of continuous wave Doppler ultrasound systems. This standard does not contain information on electrical safety and acoustic output.
