Scope

Except as follows, this chapter of the general standards applies. This special standard specifies the special safety requirements for thermal radiation therapy equipment as defined in 2.1.102. This standard does not apply to equipment used for heating in other bands. The purpose of this special standard is to specify the safety requirements for thermal radiation therapy equipment.
