This Standard specifies the testing methods for water resistance of textiles.
Water resistance is a generic term for water proofing, resistance of surface wetting,
water leakage, etc.

ISO 811 : 1981 Textile fabrics-Determination of resistance to water
penetration--Hydrostatic pressure test
ISO 4920 : 1981 Textiles-Determination of resistance to surface wet-
ting (Spray test) of fabrics
ISO 9865:1991 Textiles-Determination of water repellency of fabrics
by the Bundesmann rain-shower test

The symbols which denote the degree of correspondence in the con-
tents between the corresponding International Standards and JIS are
