- This standard stipulates the basic theory, basic principles, basic equipment and operation of sampling and sample preparation methods for the determination of fluorite quality characteristics. See Appendix A for the dimensions of the splitters of different specifications. This standard applies to all grades of fluorspar i.e. acid grade, ceramic grade and the three metallurgical grades (concentrate, pellet and raw ore) Sampling during loading and unloading of belt conveyors, wagons and bins, boats and stockpiles . Samples are taken for the determination of the following quality characteristics: particle size distribution; moisture; chemical composition.
