Scope
This standard specifies three methods for the calculation and determination of the U value (heat transfer coefficient) of insulating glass in a stable state. This standard applies to flat double-layer or multi-layer insulating glass made of flat glass (including embossed and poured glass), coated glass or other materials, and does not apply to insulating glass whose outer sheet is made of far-infrared-transmitting materials. The test method specified in this standard only measures the U value (heat transfer coefficient) of the central area of the insulating glass, without considering the edge effect and solar radiation. The U value of the curved insulating glass can be calculated and measured with the flat insulating glass of the same structure.
