This part of GB/T 22437 specifies the general methods for various load calculations and the general principles for selecting load combinations, the purpose of which is to verify the bearing capacity of various types of crane metal structures and mechanical parts defined in GB/T 6974.1. The method is based on a rigid body dynamic analysis and an elastic static analysis, but also allows the use of more advanced (computational or experimental) methods that have proven time-efficient in theory and practice to estimate the effects of loads and load combinations and values of dynamic load factors. This part has two different purposes: a) To formulate more specific standards for different types of lifting appliances, and to provide general form, content and scope of parameter values. b) provide a framework between the designer, manufacturer and purchaser for agreement on loads and load combinations for cranes for which there is no specific standard. When this standard is applied to different types of cranes under the same operating and environmental conditions, the equivalent stress causing failure should be sought.
