Scope

This standard specifies the method for determining the nitrogen content of starch and its derivatives by Kjeldahl titration. This standard applies to samples of starch and its derivatives with a nitrogen content (mass fraction) greater than 0.01%. Note: In starch and its derivatives that have not been added with nitrogen-containing substances, nitrogen basically exists in the form of protein and (or) amino acids.
