- This report is applicable to the equipment on the electric vehicle which controls the rate of energy transfer between the traction battery or batteries and the motor or motors. In many cases@ it will be impossible to consider the controller without reference to other systems@ for example motor or battery. Where necessary@ therefore@ reference will be made to these other electric vehicle systems including mechanical transmission systems.
