Scope

1.1 This specification establishes requirements for copper-silicon rod, bar, and shapes for UNS Alloys C65100, C65500, and C66100.

Note 18212;Material for hot forging is covered by Specification B 124/B 124M.

Note 28212;For ASME Boiler and Pressure Vessel Code applications, see Specification SB-98 in Section II of that code.

1.2 The values stated in either SI units or inch-pound units are to be regarded separately as standard. The values stated in each system may not be exact equivalents; therefore, each system shall be used independently of the other. Combining values from the two systems may result in non-conformance with the standard.
