Scope: This standard specifies the technical requirements, test methods, inspection rules, packaging, storage and transportation, marking and quality certificates of silicon-chromium alloys. This standard applies to silicon-chromium alloys used as reducing agents and alloying agents in steelmaking and casting, and as reducing agents in ferrochrome refining.
