Scope: This standard specifies the method for the determination of radial crush strength of cylindrical sintered metal bushings. This standard applies to sintered bushes made of pure metal powder or alloy powder. For sintered metal bushings (sliding bearings) with ribs, if the radial crush strength needs to be measured, the parts with different outer diameters can be cut off to measure the main part. Spherical sintered metal bearings shall be determined by agreement between the supplier and the purchaser, and the crushing load shall be measured with reference to the method specified in this standard.
